Château de la Fare ... a stately home away from home in the South of France
Château de la Fare is a unique and charming home, undergoing a restoration journey (as featured in Escape to the Château DIY).
The historic 12th C tower and adjoining Château was one of the homes of the illustrious De la Fare family for centuries. Set in secluded gardens on the edge of the UNESCO listed Cevenne National Park, it is ideally located as a gateway for you to explore the South of France.

As your hosts, we are an Australian couple who have lived and worked in London, at the Royal Mews, for the past 18 years. After falling in love with the Château in 2012, we finally realised our dream of a sun-filled life in France in April 2019. We are continuing to restore and develop our wonderful home in order to share it with our friends and visitors from all over the world.
